Extruded food is produced by a thermal cooking process that mixes the ingredients until they are homogenised and give them their characteristic shape. Unlike pellets, extruded feed is pressed and cooked by steaming at high temperatures.
Extruded feed facilitates the digestive processes of our rabbits and is composed of: fodder, cereals, vitamins and minerals. It is important to accompany this type of feed with hay, as it provides the quantities of fibre needed for their digestive system to be in optimum condition.
Rodiland’s Extruded Junior Rabbit food contains the recommended amounts of fibre, protein, fat, vitamins and calcium. An extruded is also a highly recommended type of food because, unlike mixtures, it prevents the rabbit from choosing the food it likes best and may miss out on some essential nutrients.
